[Correction: Zombie Tycoon is the first new announced mini since the October 1 update. ...In any case, it seems the new model, is far from the PSP killer some had hoped for, in fact it may be fair to say it is Nintendo's answer to the PSP Go, generally regarded as a dismal flop (although at 158g it is almost half the weight) ...More reason to get a PSP Go. 8. cowboyd21 | October 29th, 2009 at 6:23 am. @ 1 and 4 wow really ? do you say first when you get to the stop light first ? lol some of you guys make me wonder about you. there no way anyone can be that .... The remake for Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland has been announced for coming to the States in the fourth quarter of the year. It's now the fourth quarter and Natsume hasn't said anything more about it at all. They seem more concerned with Frantic Farming and Arfika.
Basically, I'm just asking what the word around the campfire is because I want to get this game for my birthday next month. Any useless rumors are welcome just tell me they're rumors first.
It came out in Japan in March. I'm pretty sure all they need to do is the translating and changing the region code.

I have searched everywhere and no luck.
Please help!!

Seriously? They announced it in June. I can't find it ANYWHERE for the legal download. Anyone know what's up with this?

The storyline maker that everyone is looking foward in is only for X Box 360 and PS3. They also took the Highlight reel out of the game. Also the Championship scramble is so far the only new match announced. My advice. If you don't have PS3 or 360, don't get SvR 10.

BQ- Who do you want to win Mark Henry and MVP or Jericho and Big Show?

Does anyone else think its weird the psp go was announced first but comes out later? correct me if im wrong though

before i was for sure going to get an ipod because of the app store
but sony recently announced their own app store
psp minins at gamescom
so they are pretty much equal
both are 16 gig internal memory
both can be music players
both have internet capabilties
etc
so my question is what should i get
i also think the ipod is way too overrated
too many people have it

Hey guys, i noticed that the new psp go! has been announced and i was wondering if i should wait on the psp go or just buy the 3000 now, any opinions?

I want to get a PSP Go.I heard all the details about it though and it says no UMD drive.HOw the heck am i suppose to get all those games i like onto it?Im not going to rebuy 500 $ worth games again on the PSP Go?

Ars Technica once again gives an update via it's mole regarding the future of the current Playstation 3 units. Now it seems that the 80 GB Playstation 3 models will be on their way out, whereas the 160 GB models will continue to come in. Then right before the PS3 Slim launches in the fall season, so will the price drop come for the old models begin. Ars Technica describes it's source as someone with an "outstanding track record," the same person that announced the PSP Go.

If a new Playstation 3 model does come out, it would be good to have backwards compatibility reestablished, as well as a possible small die shrink below the 65nm fab process. Also remember that the 160 GB models' street price is $500, compared to the 80 GB models' street price of $400. Clearly the bang for the buck increases on a price drop, yet anyone looking for a $300 range unit may be left sitting by the window.

Between the pricing options we have now, $400 and $500, and the options we have later, a $400 classic PS3 model and a greater than or equal to $400 Slim PS3 model (assuming an approximate $100 price drop), the situation is similar. It does not seem to allow anyone to spend below that $400 mark; instead, it will allow more hard drive space or a new model.

Since Sony announced the PSP Go and there would be downloadable games now, is it still worth getting the PSP 3000? I can't get the GO since I have sucky connections for downloading games. So?

I got some free time lately, I was thinking of get a PSP.
Recently Sony announces the new PSP Go.
I'm not sure which to get PSP or PSP Go.

can please summarize it for me. please. and also, did they announced a price cut for ps3?? thanks..

and this psp go, is this really a different console? will i be able to play the games from psp go to my regular psp??

First of all, I'm concerned about the Metal Gear games. I heard that Kojima was supposed to announce 2 PS3 games, and 1 PSP game.

What are the 2 PS3 games, and is Metal Gear Solid Rising one of them? Or is it never going to be on the PS3?

You can add more information but the minimum I need is info about Metal Gear.

I know they will announce it at e3, but when is it actually being released?

Ha! I swear dog people are more friendly than cat people. I posted this in the cat section and have not got even one comment!
txoffice, been there, had that coversation. Only the rep I was talking to kept pushing. I finally just walked away, picked up a bag of Merrick. took it back and showed him what a good pet food has for ingredients.
Dale, I don't know if it was too much or too little. Thanks for the info!

Has anyone heard this? Can you tell me what it is about?

not just a psp 4000, but a true successor?

sony is getting beat up pretty hard by the dsi and even the ds lite still, and people getting free games with they psp 2000's isn't helping them either.

i was planning on getting a psp, but maybe i'll wait?

I want to really get a guitar, but then again i want a psp, to take everywhere i go. so please, help me? i have 3 weeks only to decide.
or should i get the guitar now, and wait till they announce a new psp model or if not, get one by the end of the year?

ok well, i have 3 weeks to get 30 bucks for either an electric guitar. But heres the twist, I want to get a guitar, but i dont know how to play it. Im going to sign up for guitar classes for my freshmen year, but thats not for another 3 months for registration. Or should i get the psp 3000? my mom promised me a PSP if I was top 1 in our class. my teacher announced that I was the top , but, my dad doesn't want to buy me one because it was too expensive.
One day, we went to a mall and saw a PSP for 9,500 pesos. but he still says its expensive.
HELP!!!!!!
Another question: where can I get a low priced PSP? Please give me the answer with the price in pesos

right now i am in the midst of either getting an xbox 360 or ps3. i have played both and have my pros and cons for each. i only have enough for one. i just wanted to list my pros and cons for each one, and then just get other peoples view on what they think.

Xbox 360:
+Games: gears 2, halo 3, fable 2, gears 3 (when announced)... you could also possibly look at this asa con. i say that because when i look for a new system, i try to see which has more of my favorite exclusive games... and then i just get the multiplatform games for that system... and playing those three games over and over again may get boring.
-Horrible online play (when playing the 360 i have always encountered numerous lagging issues and games not fully loading up).
-Hardware issues.... 33% failure rate, overheating, & rrod
-New xbox live experience looks cheesy
-Halo wars was a let down :(
?Not sure what to expect with Halo ODST
?Possible connection with rumored Xbox 180 handheld
-(?)I sometimes have second thoughts on Fable 2, loved the first Fable, can you tell me anymore about Fable 2

PS3:
+GAMES!!!!!: mgs4, *rumored mgs5, *rumored jak and daxter 4, infamous, god of war 3, killzone 2, resistance 2, ratchet & clank.
+Free online play that actually runs very well (my own personal experience)
? Little Big planet, Uncharted & Heavy Rain... have been told these are good games but still not sure about them... can you give me any info?
+I find it to be a lot cheaper than what other people say because you dont have to pay for online
+It's a one way stop for all entertainment
+Some connection with PSP

Please tell me what your thoughts are on what i have said, any info or help would be awesome. thank you so much for your time!!!

gr.. ok, i just realized that Gamestop officially NOW has Dissdia on the showcase but not out.., i've been wanting dissdia for like.. 7weeks however, Phantasy Star Portable seems cool unless you have to pay to play online and it comes out before my birthday! So Dissdia won't have a release date announced but I COULD get phantasy star portable. I usually like games like... Online Wi-Fi games, when there's ad-hoc, it sucks lol. I have little friends who have PSP's and none have the same game.. NVM!! dissdia's release date is suppositly Pre-order Ships 8/31/2009 so that'll be a while.. DAMN!.. so Should i wait for dissidia or get Phantasy Star Portable? If i try to get both, my parents might think i'm ungreatful and than i won't get niether, Btw, my bithday is march 12, the release date for phantasy star portable is march 03 2009.. well? which? I've played the japanese demo but now trying the english demo.. Thanks for helping me decide. I'm not sooo crazy about dissdia but c'mon.. I was dissapointed in FF: Crisis Core so you know.. Thanks, god damn, i must be rambling on. Which? FFD or PSP? haha! PSP!! Phantasy Star Portable..

On the game WWE Smackdown vs Raw 2007 on PSP i cant find the announce table

I have a ds lite (loving it) though I would also like to have another portable system which is the PSP. And to fight the fanboyism in this world because both systems are great in their own kind of way.

On topic, I'm pretty confused in which psp version to get.

Should I buy the PSP 1000, which they say is heavier due to the metal ring ( I dont know where it is) inside the PSP therefore sturdier, has slower ram than the other two (But will downloaded games on your memory stick fix this? I mean the loading times of the games). And is cheaper.

Or how about the PSP slim, which is slimmer lighter, and is said to have a better dpad and buttons than its predecessor ( is it true? I kinda have used the 1000 and the 2000 but the slim's button felt cheap,), and holding it felt pretty awkward for me. But it has a birighter screen. Does the slim have a higher contrast ratio than the 1000's? Oh and about the TV output, not sure if I'll use this feature, because one of the main purposes of me thinking of buying a PSP is its portability. I love the deep red color of the PSP slim

Or should I buy the PSP 3000 which has screen issues like horizontal jaggies and scanlines? Do they really look that bad? I mean they say that fast moving images and games like racing games are unplayable on the 3000. And Sony announced that it is a hardware issue and they have no reason to fix it. And the PSP 3000 is unhackable unless you have the little blue tool.

Help is much appreciated. And please don't get angry at me much for choosing the pirate path. Merry Christmas!
EDIT : lite blue tool

I need to know.

Some boards are saying that Eidos did announce a release on PSP but i can't find any stockists online and local shops like Game don't have a scheduled release for PSP. Is it being released on this platform and where will i be able to buy it?

I have been a Sony Playstation fanboy for years now. I was one who purchased the original Playstation Portable (PSP) when it was released. Now they've announced that they are releasing a new PSP (model PSP-3000 for those of you keeping track) with new features. Should I keep my original PSP or should I trade it in for a current model?

I planned to get a DS lite (the PSP is lacking in cool games) this month but hesitated when Nintendo announced the release of the DSi next year. You think I should wait another 3 months to get a DSi or should I just buy the DS lite now?

Second question: my friends who have DS lites play downloaded games via a microSD card inserted through an adaptor that fits on the DS game slot. The product is also know as the R4. Question is, will the device also work for the DSi?

Thanks so much!

I have to do a poster about the 5 P's Product, Place, Place, Price, and Promotion.

Product - PSP, a hand held game developed by Sony corporation. It was first announced in E3 2003 and released 2004 in Japan and 2005 World Wide. the PSP is a multi media electronic. If your hand get tired of playing games you can relax but listening music, surfing the web, and store photos. Also, you can watch movie by downloading it into a memory card. You can also buy UMD movies made especially for PSP at a store.

Place - You can find PSP at most electronic store. PSP are distributed world wide so you can find them mostly at any selling site like Ebay, Amazon, newegg, etc.

Promotion - ???

Price - When the PSP launch it was over price at 299.99 USD for the original PSP 1000. Now the PSP original 1000/2000 is only 169.99 USD. You can buy different colors in a bundle that includes movies, memorycard, and games for only 30 dollars which is 199.99 USD.

is that right? what do I do with promotion?

I got my PSP slim and lite in April, and at Leipzig they announced the PSP 3000 which has a better screen and a built in microphone.
No point getting the new one is there?

So, Sony recently announced that they are making a new PSP model right. The PSP 2000 - which was then subsequently released.
Now they have made a PSP 3000 model, with a better screen and a mic input. That's right - all that they've done is better the screen and added a mic. No hard drive, no super extended battery, no new design for combating cramped hands you get when playing your PSP.

So my question is, is the 3000 model pointless and should Sony have just kept the slim and light as it's main system?

I play this game called DJ Max Portable 1 & 2. For the people, that never heard of this game, well...it is a Korean game that released 3 years ago for the psp and it is like a "DDR" for psp.

It never released in America before but just a couple days ago, they announced that an American version called DJ Max Fever just came out. And after looking at some trailers....ok? Is this game just an American version of DJ Max Portable 1 or is it just an exclusive new version (most likely dj max portable 3) that would only be released in America? I strongly think it is just a remake of number 1 but I need other peoples opinions.
bump bump bump

On wikipedia it said Grand theft auto san andreas stories would be for PS3, 360, PSP and a returning 1 time only PS2.
On the hawaiian wars its for the wii, its 3d and same with GTA 4 graphics, except the controls its a classic controller, Gamecube, or Wiimote/nunchuck, and They said Grand theft auto San antonio texas has been announced too, for a PSP exclusive. What do you think? can you trust wikipedia or no? you can check but i think they deleted that

The roster gets leaked on IGN every year, one by one. My big question is if they'll leave legends out this year and just bring in more regular wrestlers, using only the legends that are currently part of the WWE in the game... I really don't like the fact that they used to leave out great midcard and lowcard wrestlers, and instead have legends that you can't use in any mode without it feeling like you're just playing back in time mode. Besides, with the new Legends of Wrestlemania game coming out in March, there's no point to have insignificant legends in SDvR09...

But if we were forced to have legends, my list of legends would be as such:

1. Stone Cold Steve Austin (He'll be on the roster forever, and his yearly visits will make him useful.)

2. Mick Foley (He's on the announcing team, and thus ineligible for GM mode, but having him in the game as a wrestler would be cool and understandable.)

3. Hacksaw Jim Duggan (He's actually on the roster, and is used as a legend character.)

4. Ric Flair (He's still on the roster as well, despite his retirement, and is still used in stories from time to time.)

5. Ron Simmons (His catchphrase may be all he's used for, but putting him as an unlockable would be neat.)

6. Tazz (He's an announcer, making him ineligible for GM Mode, but in his heyday he was an awesome wrestler.)

7. Jerry Lawler (Again, another announcer, which would make him ineligible for GM mode, but still, a legend that is actually in the WWE)

8. Sgt. Slaughter (He's a road agent in the WWE, and was used as a legend in the PSP version of SDvR08, so they have his moveset and everything.)

9. The Rock (Although he hasn't had a match since the tag match with Foley vs. Evolution, he's still a well known name that has enough pull to be a legend in the game.)

10. Hulk Hogan (Despite my utter hatred for him, he is THE legend of WWE, and he does make comeback appearances. Therefore a good addition.)

What would be your list, and why?

I really want a 360 [idk why, as you will soon learn] but i also wish FF 13 versus and Kingdom Hearts 3 were on the 360 =[

NOTE: I KNOW KH3 isnt announced yet but we all know its coming as there is one announced for the DS and PSP so one for a TV system is only natural.

I just dont know anymore because the 360 has Fable 2 coming out and stuff, but the ps3 seems like it would be a good idea because while the 360 has more games, the ps3 games seem to be better/more interesting.
but the 360 does have better graphics [dont aruge with me about that plz ahaha]

what do you think?

I was thinking about getting the red god of war bundle, but i am not sure if a psp is worth getting these days. They dont really release anything good games latley, the graphics is aging, Psp2 could be announced during next months E3.

US, March 27, 2008 - It's been about four months since we had any substantial grappling news from THQ, but the Los Angeles County-based publisher put an end to that today: WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 is coming.

Although it won't be formally announced until tomorrow, THQ has confirmed with IGN that the latest installment in the storied wrestling franchise will be making its way to the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, Nintendo DS, PSP, PlayStation 2 and mobile devices this fall while boasting a bevy of bells and whistles.
On the Xbox 360, PS3, PSP and PS2, the biggest change in the action will come with a strong focus on tag teams. For the first time ever, players will be able to team up for co-op storylines in the Road to WrestleMania mode and take advantage of an overhauled tag structure to earn attributes on their way to the top. Tag teams -- both in and out of Road to WrestleMania -- will utilize the same momentum meter, break opponents with double team finishers and make "hot tags" for the win. Also making its debut will be Create-A-Finisher, which allows fans to choose from more than 500 animations in their quest to build the ultimate move. Specifically on the 360 and PS3, fans can look for the debut of SVR downloadable content, although THQ is mum about what it might be.
WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 marks the franchise's second title on the Wii, and THQ looks to be building on the motion controls and interactivity of the first outing. The game promises more match types, more weapons and the debut of online gameplay, which will feature matches and rankings. Although the title will pack Road to WrestleMania like the aforementioned versions, the Wii copy of SVR '09 will be the only place to find interactive entrances and victory celebrations that range from posing on the ramp to slapping the taste out of a beaten opponent. Successfully get the crowd hyped on your way to the ring and you'll get an in-match bonus.
Seasoned players who pick up SVR '09 on the Nintendo DS will probably be in for more than a few surprises. Gone are the stylus-heavy controls of last year and in their place is a more traditional d-pad/grapple system gamers that have grown up with, although the stylus will still play some part in the action. Being developed by Tose, the folks behind Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime, the DS version of SVR '09 will pack a season mode with an RPG approach. Players will interact with Superstars, upgrade their abilities and complete missions to become the champion. Create-A-Superstar will make its Nintendo handheld debut, there will be a larger roster of Superstars, and the title will pack a wealth of new match types.
"The ambitious cross-platform launch of WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2008 last year yielded tremendous growth for the franchise, as we delivered multiple gameplay experiences across seven platforms and greatly expanded our audience of WWE videogame fans," said Bob Aniello, senior vice president, worldwide marketing, THQ. "With dynamic new features and the extension of our gameplay experience through downloadable content, WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2009 will bring more console, handheld and wireless gamers together to enjoy the virtual world of WWE."
